Jennifer Bowman Acrylic Workshops
This three day workshop will be a beginner’s class on Thursday and Friday, Intermediate on Saturday.
If you have not taken any classes from me before, you are allowed to sign up for the Thursday class. This will be a VERY beginner, “color-wheel, pear and wine bottle painting” easy class. The remaining days will get progressively more informative and detailed. No matter your level of painting ability, you will enjoy all of the following days. Do not be intimidated.
Jennifer’s joy is contagious and you will have a blast hanging out for two days of fun and exploration while playing in the paint. You’ll learn basics like color, composition and values as well as fun techniques of splashing rubbing alcohol and rubber placemat textures. We all learn and laugh, and you go home with an “I can DO this” confidence and knowledge.

Graham Acrylic Paint Required Colors: Quinacridone Magenta Cadmium Yellow Light or Benzimidazolone Light Phthalo Blue (red shade) Titanium White Suggested Colors: Forest or Sap or Hooker, or Olive Green Pyrrole Red, or Napthol Crimson Cadmium Orange or Pyrrole Orange Medium Indian Yellow Cadmium Red Light Rich Green Gold or Green Gold Dioxazine Purple Bone or Ivory Black Phthalo Turquoise Alizarin Crimson Fluorescent Magenta: Fireweed Gloss Waterborne Varnish by Golden Absorbent Ground Molding Paste 1 Canvas per day, between 12x16 and 16x20 Brushes: Brights (Short- flats): #4-22, Synthetic brushes NOT hogs hair. I use ?, ?, ?, and 1 inch wide bright. Rounds for details; #0-5 Painting Knives Stay-wet Palette Other optional tools: Water bucket for brushes, Plastic Gloves, Tooth brush, Dry pastel pieces (NOT oil pastel) to draw out your image on your canvas, squirt bottle with water, Roll of Paper towels, Old dish towels to wipe wet brushes on, and Pencil and Paper to take notes.
