Material List

Paints...you are welcome to bring your own quality paints that are similar to the list below. I use Graham and Harding Oil paints.

Titanium White

Azo Yellow

Yellow Ochre

Nickel Quinacridone Gold

Napthol Red

Alizarine Crimson

Cerulean Blue

Ultramarine Blue

Transparent Iron Red Oxide

Dioxazine Purple

Turquoise…Optional

Brushes

I will be using these brushes for the painting; you are welcome to use your own. 

Silver Bristlon1901 Flats. Size # 2, 4, 6, and 8. These are synthetic brushes that are middle of the road...not to soft or hard. There are similar type brushes by other companies. 

Canvas

I will be painting on a 9”x12" canvas board for the demo. You are welcome to bring a 8"x10" stretched canvas, canvas board or gessoed hardboard. 

Other important materials:

*Odorless mineral spirits to clean and thin paints. You will also need a brush tank or jar to hold the mineral spirits and to clean the brushes. Gamsol, Turpenoid, and Mona Lisa are good odorless products. 

*Graham Walnut Alkyd Medium...If you have other types of oil painting alkyd mediums you are welcome to bring them.

*Upright Easel

*Paper Towels

**Trash bag

*Tarp or cover for your work area. 

*Palette to mix paint…disposable or permanent
