Learn About 3 Sketchbooks Types
Join internationally known watercolor artist Ron Stocke for a fun and inspiring mini sketchbook workshop.
During this relaxed three-hour session, Ron will share what he looks for in sketchbook paper and why it plays such an important role in his watercolor process.
Through live demonstrations and discussion, students will get a behind-the-scenes look at Ron’s daily sketchbook practice, including the building blocks that appear in his paintings—composition, figures, perspective, and more.
“Our sketchbooks are our most important tool,” says Ron. “In many ways, some of my best work can be found in them.”
Each participant will receive 3 sketchbooks and brushes courtesy of BEE Paper & Royal Langnickel Brush company. Students will also receive a three tube watercolor set from M Graham.
- 1ea 100% cotton 140 Lb watercolor block
- 1ea Artist's journal
- 1ea Super Deluxe (Ron's absolute favorite).
- Palette
- Drawing tools & eraser (Ron uses a variety of lead holders and mechanical pencils).
- Students can bring any other materials they'd like.
