Painting Flowers

Painting flowers can be complicated! Through discussion and demonstration, students will learn how to paint a bouquet with simplified forms and color. Students will then have multiple hours to develop a floral still life from life.

Supplies: My color palette includes titanium white, ultramarine blue, cerulean blue hue, alizarin crimson, burnt sienna, napthol red, yellow ochre, hansa yellow medium and pthalo turquoise.

In addition to your colors, be sure to bring a palette, a canvas, a variety of brushes, a painting knife, rags, jar and gamsol (or similar solvent for oil painters).
