Art Lunch Club: Polymer Clay - Beads & Things

Announcing Art Lunch Club at Blaines! Come join for an hour art class for some midweek creativity. This September series will focus on the medium of polymer clay to explore making beads and core medallion designs for use in jewelry or other creations. This class is open to all ages but is best suited for adults and children ages 6 and up. Creations in the first two classes will be baked by the instructor for return at the subsequent class; items made in the last class will be sent home with instructions for baking.

Student artists will experience working with polymer clay to explore bead making and core medallion design techniques. Polymer clay is a versatile and fun medium that allows for imaginative expression and fine detail. Polymer clay comes in a wide variety of colors; class will demonstrate concepts of color design, blending, and layering decoration.

Supplies are not included although some extra tools, jewelry findings, aluminum foil, and other items will be available for experimentation and demonstration. Supplies required for the class include: polymer clay colors in white, black, brown, red, yellow, green, and blue OR 5-8 colors of choice; basic shaping tools. 10% off any supplies purchased at Blaines! Additional optional supplies include wire, jewelry findings, rubbing alcohol, small paint brush, and aluminum foil.
