A Baren is a smooth, flat rubbing tool used primarily in block printing. This traditional baren is made of bamboo bark, which has a tough surface that allows for applying pressure firmly and evenly. Great for burnishing, Mono printing, transferring images onto paper and smoothing items down after applying glue. This is a small, 3 7/8-inch baren with a bamboo bark handle.
