Meet Our Staff

We run on coffee, big dreams, and high vibes around here — and we couldn’t do it without our incredible team. Stop by, say hi, and let us help you make your next masterpiece.

Isabel (Retail Manager)
Isabel is our new store manager and truly my right-hand woman. She’s strong, dependable, and always ready to step in—an absolute lifesaver behind the scenes and on the floor. With a natural leadership style and a big heart for the Blaine’s community, she’s quickly become essential to our daily rhythm. Outside the shop, Isabel is a talented photographer whose work is anything but ordinary. Her images are bold, provocative, and thought-provoking—sparking conversation and leaving a lasting impression.

Georgia (Supply Specialist)
Georgia holds the honor of being our longest-running team member here at Blaine’s. At first glance, she’s quiet and unassuming—but don’t let that fool you. Get to know her, and you’ll discover a fiery spark and a great sense of humor wrapped in a small but mighty package. An artist at heart, Georgia primarily paints in acrylics and brings creativity and warmth to everything she does.

Kathy (Supply Specialist)

Kathy is a true artist through and through. After spending years in New York City working at some of the most iconic art supply stores, she returned to her roots and became an essential part of the Blaine’s family. She’s a walking encyclopedia of art knowledge—especially when it comes to paper—and always happy to share her wisdom. Lately, she’s been creating vibrant, color-drenched watercolor paintings that absolutely blow us away.

Amy (Associate)
Amy is our second longest-running team member here at Blaine’s, and a beloved part of our shop family. She originally came to us through The Arc of Anchorage and has become one of our most recognized and well-loved faces. Amy brings her own unique energy and warmth to the store, and customers often light up when they see her. She reminds us every day that community, kindness, and consistency are just as important as art supplies—and she’s truly one of a kind.
Liz (Associate)
Liz is a creative with a tech-savvy streak. When she’s not making earrings, sewing, or experimenting with photography, she’s the one we call when our tech acts up. From fixing computer glitches to keeping our systems running smoothly, Liz quietly saves the day more often than you’d think. And of course, she always does it with the coolest nails in the shop.
Deb (Associate)
Deb stepped out of retirement to come play with us—and we’re so glad she did! She brings an incredible mix of joy, humor, and real-world wisdom to the shop. An accomplished artist with a range that spans from landscapes to portraits, Deb’s creativity is matched only by her playfulness. Whether she’s sharing a story or offering advice, she’s an absolute delight to have around.
Geoff (Associate)

Geoff may be one of our newer team members, but he brings a wealth of experience and heart to Blaine’s. Soft-spoken and humble, he’s full of thoughtful insights and engaging conversation once you get talking. With a rich background in both creating and teaching art, Geoff adds a calm, knowledgeable presence to the shop. Stop by and spend some time with him—you’ll be glad you did.

Fayden (Associate)

Fayden is one of the newest faces at Blaine’s, and we’re already loving the fresh creative energy they bring. This artist’s studio practice began as classroom doodles and evolved into a “close-your-eyes–scribble–find-the-form” process. Every piece starts blind, with pen moving across the page, and only afterward does a recognizable shape emerge. The results are playful, whimsical, and totally surprising—no two look alike. Recently, they’ve also experimented with acrylic and salt textures, proving that true creativity doesn’t need a plan—just a willingness to explore. We can’t wait to see where their art goes next!
